VV-KK Similarities

First Day First Show would be thrilling for any movie especially when a movie is so much hyped before its release...

VV (Vettaiyadu velaiyadu) is one of those movies and somehow we managed to book 4 tickets online for watching VV at Irving,TX theatre the day it got released...

Someone said that the movie is an action thriller and Gautam has put up his earnest effort to make it as a continuation episode of his good work in KK (Kaka Kaka). Dont miss the caption that is screened at the start of the movie...

But to me it appeared like Gautam Menon has tried to Correlate the sequences, screenplays ditto from his hit venture KK.

Some of the similarities that I could figure out from watching VV are listed below:

1) Two Villians KK-Pandiya and his brother, VV - Elamaran and Amudhan
2) Partha mudhal nalalil song - correlated to Ondra Rendra Aasaigal & Ennai konjam matri song
3) Actually in VV Kamal and Kamalini Mukherjee ride in bike whereas in KK Surya and Jothika were in a Jeep in the Ennai Konjam matri song.
4) Punch dialogue of villain in VV is "Ellaraiyum Pottu Thallanam" (Kill everyone)
KK - Pandiya had the punch dialogue "_tha unna thokkuran da"

One thing that is really notable one is the climax of the movie VV. Gautam Menon poses a surprise to the audience when Jothika's character is shown as alive after being buried to death. The reason this is a significant twist is that in his earlier hit venture KK, the climax was critically debated for brutal killing of Jothika, which ppl expected in this movie too but Gautam has heard to his critics of KK...

Watch the movie and probably you may end up in identifying more similarities than me :-)

Red Alert - by Dell - Who is more affected???

Dell announced a massive recall of sold out Notebooks and laptops for replacing the lithium ion battery which potentially has the risk of getting overheated and in turn causing the laptop to burn out.

The problem is reported with Dell using the lithium ion batteries supplied by Sony Inc., Dell also recalls that the issue is widespread around 4.1 million laptops that were sold between April 1, 2004, and July 18 of this year.

Although Sony has agreed to do the replacement of all the affected batteries with nickel-cadmium batteries and also would bear the cost of the replacement (around $200 million to $400 million) the answer to one question is still unclear as to who will be more affected with this laptop recall...Dell or its partner Sony???

In my opinion, from a customer's point of view Dell is going to be affected as a customer who's going to buy any Dell products would rethink his choice once again before buying...But in terms of strategic relationship, quality committment and business Sony is going to have a tough time as Companies might rethink their collaboration with Sony because of this production flaw in its batteries...

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna - 7/10

Yesterday admist the busy schedule, I managed to see yet another acronymn hindi movie KANK (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) at FunAsia Theatres, Richardson - TX. The best part of going to FunAsia and watching the movie is the Desi crowd but the worst part is the ticket cost at FunAsia theatres which is quite an expensive one $10 per ticket...FunAsia Theatre management is minting money with almost every show of KANK (9,10,11 PM) running housefull.

After watching the movie I felt that once again Karan Johar has shown his class in making romance stories centered around emotions. This seems to be his mantra in all his previous success which no wonder he has applied to KANK too.

Actors Sharukh khan (Saran) and Rani Mukherjee (Maya) have shown their talents in this movie...Plenty of opportunities given by Karan Johar to showcase their talents and they havent disappointed him especially in the emotional scenes...Sharukh and Rani really the king and queen of this movie...

Preity Zinta (Rhea) not much for her to show her acting abilities to her audience but still she has done a good job in her dancing moves and looks...Preity looks pretty in this movie...

The big B and small B have also shown their talents in areas of acting and dancing respectively. Big B comes in the movie as Sexy Sam (Samarjit Talwar) and he looks really sexy in the movie...Dialogue deliveries, acting, comedy, dancing, in all these areas he outplays everyone in this movie...This shows why he is one of the best actors in Indian Film industry....
Abhishek Bachhan(Rishi Talwar), well this guy has matured a lot as an actor and a dancer in this movie...
B's lajawab...

Humour is weaved into the script of this movie...Karan Johar has somehow tried to make the first half hilarious by setting up humour sequences in the movie and I feel that he has been half successful in his attempt...One thing that is really hilarious is the new meaning given to the place "Chandigarh" when Big B meets Kiron Kher(Kamaljit Saran) for the first time in the movie...Watch the movie and get to know the meaning of Chandigarh...

Some worth watching scenes from the movie are

1) Two families dining one night and Sharukh trying to outplay Big B by cracking a real story as a joke for which Big B becomes spellbound and express his emotions ultimately...Actually in that particular scene Big B shows his class of acting...watch it out...

2) Abhishek Bachhan firing Rani Mukherjee with questions for which she doesnt have any answer....

3) First meeting of Sharukh with Rani Mukherjee with nice background song...

4) Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna song - full of emotions, nice sceneries and music...

5) Special appearances of John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, Kajol

+ of this movie in priority:
Story
Songs (Good Job Shankar,Ehsaan,Loy)
BGM (Back Ground Music)
Big B
Sharukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee
Rest of the actors

- of this movie in priority:
Deepest Love at first meeting itself (hard to digest)
Stretched and lengthened scenes
Repeatedly touching the emotions in all the scenes
Film centered around only two actors Shahrukh and Rani Mukherjee

My Overall rating to this movie is 7/10...I would recommend you guys to see this movie as I feel that this movie for sure is going to hit the boxoffice...

Hope Karan Johar bags enough money with KANK hitting Box office for paying his lawyer to fight the case filed by Vishwaroop Chathurvedi for stealing his name
